The development of late FHR deceleration and analysis of controversy FHR with hypoxia index
نویسنده
چکیده
Transient FHR reduction (deceleration) was classified to U-shape variable one and V-shape periodic one, which is further divided into early deceleration (ED) and late deceleration (LD), of which lag time to uterine contraction is 20 or rmore seconds (Figure 1). LD is placental insufficiency and its outcome was ominous by Hon [1]. CaldeyroBarcia Type I dip was ED and Type 2 was LD [2]. Controversy LD was neonatal favorable outcome after detection of fetal LD, despite it was told that LD associated ominous outcome [1].

Background: The purpose of this study was to compare electronic fetal heart rate monitoring (EFM) characteristics between Appropriate for Gestational Age (AGA ) and Small for Gestational Age (SGA) fetuses and to determine whether SGA fetuses have specific abnormalities. Materials and Methods: Among children born from Apr 2002 to Mar 2003 in Arash hospital, we identified 300 singleton infants b...

Background: Previous studies have suggested the presence of a relationship between the increase of NRBC and the duration and intensity of asphyxia. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the relationship of fetal heart rate pattern and the number of NRBC's in umbilical cord blood sample at birth. Methods: We enrolled 322 pregnant women with healthy, term fetuses who referred to Mirza Koucha...
متن کاملAcceleration and Deceleration Capacity of Fetal Heart Rate in an In-Vivo Sheep Model
BACKGROUND Fetal heart rate (FHR) variability is an indirect index of fetal autonomic nervous system (ANS) integrity. FHR variability analysis in labor fails to detect early hypoxia and acidemia. Phase-rectified signal averaging (PRSA) is a new method of complex biological signals analysis that is more resistant to non-stationarities, signal loss and artifacts. It quantifies the average cardiac...
متن کاملThe Influence of a Crosshair Visual Aid on Observer Detection of Simulated Fetal Heart Rate Signals
Objective To determine whether a visual aid overlaid on fetal heart rate (FHR) tracings increases detection of critical signals relative to images with no visual aid. Study Design In an experimental study, 21 undergraduate students viewed 240 images of simulated FHR tracings twice, once with the visual aids and once without aids. Performance was examined for images containing three different ty...
متن کاملAutomatic evaluation of intrapartum fetal heart rate recordings: a comprehensive analysis of useful features.
Cardiotocography is the monitoring of fetal heart rate (FHR) and uterine contractions (TOCO), used routinely since the 1960s by obstetricians to detect fetal hypoxia. The evaluation of the FHR in clinical settings is based on an evaluation of macroscopic morphological features and so far has managed to avoid adopting any achievements from the HRV research field. In this work, most of the featur...
